Chrisb
Search and rescue chopper just flew over tracking the shoreline heading west towards Dunville. POCMAR went by about a hour ago. Anyone hear any reports of someone missing on Lake Erie today?

Chrisb
Seeing reports on facebook about a possible missing 74 year old fisherman out of Port Maitland. I will tune in CHCH at 11. Maybe they will have a report.

Darryl L
Sounds like lone fisherman went out earlier today. Was supposed to be home hours ago. Never showed up. Truck and trailer still at launch.

Chrisb
The searchers are gone. No idea if they found what they were looking for good or bad. No reports in the news that I could find. Tyler0420

Darryl L
That's not good. More wind and small craft warnings over the next couple days. Prayers he turns up safe and sound.
Darryl L
Not looking good for this fisherman. They have suspended the search for him, and the wind is only getting worse all weekend. Have not located the boat as of yet
Tyler0420
Ya the winds are crazy. Not sure how Eire is looking but Ontario is ripping.
Markster
Looks like there is no sign of the fisherman yet. seems really strange there is no sign of anything, doesn’t it? Davidp16
Chrisb
Just some facts as bad/gross as this may sound. The boat probably sank. It takes 3-4 days for a body to float up.

There have been people missing from L.Ont. many years ago , like the 4 young guys who were never found . Lets hope we find this man soon. Mbocco
Maybe he fell out with engine on, without a life jacket on, and the boat kept going. Hard to find him if he did drown, but maybe the boat shows up on the other side of the lake? Are they looking in the US also I wonder. Hard to imagine a boat sinking without the boater using his phone and/or putting on a life jacket if in distress. If there was an unexpected explosion of some kind, there would be evidence. So strange and a terrible story.

Not hard to imagine for me. I don't know what type of boat it was I could imagine taking a wave or leaning to net a fish and taking a wave to flip the boat, or standing to relieve over the edge(always use a can). Tyler0420
Maybe no plug or lift jacket. life jackets should be made mandatory to wear at all times. I would think their would be a lot less deaths on the water. Morwood80, Darryl L, knightfisher and 1 other
Markster
Looking at the pictures of the flares dropped that was posted on facebook it seems like the lake was calm. i hope for the family that some indication of him shows up soon. It has to be terrible for them.

Finding him quickly gives his family 'closure' . He can now have a proper burial . Hopefully they may be able to determine if he had a medical issue , etc. Condolences to everyone who knew him .
