For true Fish_Dawg ,  The large white perch have a "bassy" shape to their wide bodies , but the hump behind the head is more perch like . I still remember the large runs of silver bass at Queenston ,Port Dalhousie and also heavy runs at Lake Moody when I was a kid a century ago .  I always remove the 'mud line' from the larger white perch as it can taste 'fishy" , if that's a good word for it .  I have seen U.tubes of people removing the mud line on walleye too .  And you are right , they both taste great !  

Tomorrow looks like anothe fine day to get the corn out ......thawing out in the tub now .  B)

Any signs of carp ?   We could see them in the lake side of the east pier just passed the marina berm rocks ,but they screwed it all up 

by dumping those tank size rocks there . NOT very pleasing to the eye .....  still looking for a day to try Rennie again .
