I was out Saturday buddy and myself we ended with 93 nice ones. Launched a sugar loaf and headed to 65fow off Sherkston. Got a few but not great so motored towards Abino, saw a few boats in the 59’ area hit spot lock and Perch on pretty steady. We headed back to Port Colborne around 4:30.we got our minnows at Erie Tracker.πŸ‘

Good catch FF, that's a lot of cleaning to do. I'd have to get the wife to clean them........πŸ˜„

It's been a long time I since I sank my teeth into a perch meal. Enjoy !

No I'm kinda old school Tyler, I use a small Rapala 4" rubber handle knife.

I have a Elec knife and have used it but I find I can filet faster with the knife.

Plus it's probably me, I don't like cutting through the guts with the Elec and getting the crap on the blade then on the filet.

I timed myself the other day and did 49 Perch in 1 hour and 15 Mins.

I'm the same way Fish Farmer. I just don't get the feel I like with an electric knife. After using many different kinds, I bought a Cutco fillet knife. It is by far the best I have ever used, it's scary sharp. The blade will extend to about 8-10 inches so I use it on bigger fish as well. I have not touched the electric knife since I bought it.

I like to use electric knives for carving up turkeys, slab bacon or hams, ect. I have 4 Rap knives for fish, use the 6" mostly. Keep them well sharpened.
