refurbished cell phone

Have you ever bought one?
Was it worth the savings?
Would you do it again?

There seems to be considerable savings.
Not talking about a used one off facebook or kijiji. This would be one from a reputable store like Best Buy or Staples online.

Most of them seem to come with 1 year warranty.

Bought my wife an iphone 8 several years ago from Best Buy to match mine that I bought off my grandson.

Haven't had any problems with either one except having to eventually replace the battery on both.

I think I have determined that the Samsung a15 5g is the one to go for. New is only $270. No black Friday deals on unlocked phones according to the guy in the store.

What I was told about buying refurbished is that they replace the affected part with a new part and then you're good to go. 

I could have been fed a bunch of crap, but I have purchased refurbished before and haven't had any issues. So for me it was worth the savings until I could upgrade with my plan. Phones are stupid expensive otherwise.

Eons ago (80's) I won a Buddy clamp on telescopic fish finder at a Keswick fish derby. It was refurbished and didn't last long compared to the ones my fishing buddies bought new. That was 'back in the day' but we have much better technology today....

While at Gibbys last week getting a new radio installed I saw refurbished head phones for $100  ($200 off list price), so refurbs are quite popular these days and there should be a warranty with the product as well.  

I got my first 'smart' phone last week, only 5 years old .....got a LOT of learning to do ! So far, I can call home using the number display.... or 911.😁

I ordered a new Samsung A15 5g 128g today. Should be here in 4 days. Same phone my sister has and she is very happy with it. I will probably go with the same plan she has as well which is $35 a month for unlimited text/phone and 40g data.
