rainbow905
Fingers crossed this never happens in Lake Erie. We have enough of a problem with Gobies.
ron4blues
Unfortunately, the situation is so far out of control that soon only two options remain: 1) Extreme measures such as mass electro-seining of the affected waters (expensive and time consuming), or massive quantities of rotenone (which will kill all fish in the area treated, not just Asian Carp). 2) Accept that it happened and try to live with it. Neither option is palatable, and once they're in the Great Lakes, option #1 won't be practical. Humans created this disaster; hopefully humans can find a solution. Mike Pike
I think if they do get in, we should just overharvest them into extinction like we have other species!
hooked
Two observations. What gobby problem? They have already caught cleaned and are selling them commercially.
