smerchly
Did this today ...first time changing oil/filter on a 4 stroke on my 50 Merc....piece of cake ! Got my oil at C.T. today had a new filter , came with the motor . It took the 4 liter jug to fill it . Ran the motor for 10 secs.(no gas line ) ..fired up instantly ! Wish our vehicles were that easy to change oil ! My 50 hp is the same as this one in the vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlbKf4NOQzM&ab_channel=theoutdoorreport
Tyler0420
Nice that you could do it yourself smerch. The only things that sucks about doing it yourself is you have to dispose of the oil.

I dump it in a 5 gal pail and when they have hazz waste day disposal I can take it to the site (with old batteries, electronic etc. ) I believe they recycle the oil and sell it .....remember Nugold oil at CT ? lol
Chrisb
You don't have to wait for a hazz waste day. You can take it to the land fill any day free. There are five sites in the Niagara region, Welland, Fort Erie, Thorold and Lincoln. Tyler0420
smerchly
Thanks Chris , I have some electronic stuff to get rid of too . About 5 years ago i bought a nice Epson printer with a pop up screen ....ink ran out in a month , never bought new cartridges for it as they cost as much as the printer so it gets tossed in the garbage too ....never bought a printer since . I usually go to Walkers where they have a free branch/stump spot . I'll check on line .
