First fish caught in 6 years, an out of season smallmouth bass, pained me to CnR

Just remember, You always have the slim chance of catching that fish again. Last year I caught the same catfish a good 5+ times throughout the year.

I suppose that's a good way to look at it, and they'll be bigger and badder than before too. How did you know it was the same cat? tie a ribbon on it's tail? haha

It had a nasty cut on its snout. Literally from one side to another and a distinct gouge in his whisker:) we called him ole broken nose.
