    Hi huey graphite .. Right now you don't have to go very deep to fish salmon with Dypsy's . The size depends on the depth you want to go to.   I use # 107 walker deeper diver for any dypsy fishing on both Big 'O' and Erie. I have Dypsys also. The difference is the ring on the dypsy  Don't forget to be 10 to 15 feet above the target fish. Below 75 feet riggers are needed.  The higher the settings the farther away from the boat... Hope this  helps.

      Just saw this now. Thank for the tips. I've used dipseys on Erie for several years now for walleye.
