Basshound
Is this a public ramp covered by the tax payers of F.E. or is there a charge for using it?

jwl
ya both docks where in for a bit now, saw that about a week or so ago when out with the familly for a bite to eat on the patio at the Palmwood. It's a good launch there, lots of room for a couple people to get thier boats in and out...it gets pretty busy though, specially when the fishin is good. But if you compare it to for example...paying at Bertie...which you can't head out early in the morning from any more...if you want to hit some good walleye grounds when they are within a few miles of our side before they head deeper and deeper...specially for those of us with smaller boats that don't want to get stuck to far out there..and have a 10 mile run home if the seas build up...it probably takes less time to get out to productive water from there on a calm day, then it does to putter out of the harbour/bay at Bertie...it's farther from the launch there out of the bay then you would think.
