I just checked the recreational waterway in Welland and there is 3 1/2 in , so I dropped a line with mousies that I just bought fron Denis. It took about ten minutes , a little tug , a hookset ,and fish on. A 6in. perch for my efforts. I wasnt really dressed for fishing long and soon got chilled and went home. This cold should really tighten up the ice to the tune of 1/2 to 1in each 24hrs. I am off to simcoe tommorow with the boys, but will be looking to get out Thurs morn as well . If anyone is off as well you are welcome to join me .I am not sure where yet but it will be somewhere in the niagara area. Ice thickness pending. Leave a reply here or PM me.
