jwl
yepper totally true, that's why the little star beside all the open species of fish..and says open season except Dec 24th, always been like that ever since I can remember, there is already a thread somewhere with that in it I think it might be under outdoors/conservation, and with the explanations as to why. Guest Dom
see the post Chilli started "stupid rule" If you look at the regs, not every species of fish that has an all year open season, has an asterisk beside it. Some do, some don't, some only in specific regions. Look here: http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/fishing/ Click on the 2005-2006 regs. Click on MAP A, go to pages 12 and 13. For example Rainbow and Brown trout are both open all year in divisions 1 and 2, but only division 2 has the asterisk beside it which requires it to be closed for Dec 24th. Yellow Perch is open all year in Divisions 1,2,3,4 and 5, but only Divison 2 has the asterisk beside it, for Dec 24th SO its not 100% for all species in all divisions, you need to follow the chart
