Hi folks,

I have some visitors from Winnipeg and I since I havent been down to Niagara in a couple of weeks I wanted to ask you what you think would be the better choice for shore fishing between the Whirpool and Queenston boat launch.

I heard that there's some shore ice, is that true.

You reply is appreciated.

there is alot of ice flow right now in the river! Not sure when it will stop! I went down fishing, had to fish between ice flows! Got a nice bow but it is very challenging!! Queenston would definately be better right now!!

Thanks for the info Charlie.

Went to the Whirpool and got a couple of 'bows and a brown on rubber minnows.

The water was extremely clear and we had to use 4 pound test.

To all that are contemplating going down to the 'pool - be careful with your selection of shore spot. The ice overhangs are not all safe - we saw one cave in and float away. Moreover - be careful on your way down the steps.
