Guest Stu Pedasso
I have been making morning and afternoon trips to the marina in PoCo since Sunday. The ice started forming on Sunday afternoon and the patches of open water got smaller each day. Wednesday it was finally frozen over and yesterday at 4:30 there were 5 guys out and 2 icecube portables on the Marlon side (there was a group of people playing hockey over by the launch, so it looks good all around). Looks like it is good to go inside the first breakwall if you're looking for another option for weekend hardwater action. Not sure I would venture out into the bay until next weekend. I'll be out on the ice between the Marlon and Sugarloaf docks on Sunday morning, in a blue Clam if anyone wanted to say hello. Good luck all, the ice is finally here.
