D McV
Here are a couple of pics I took today incase some of you were wondering how the river looked. In the last pic you can see the ice starting to creep up toward the falls to form the ice bridge. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h286/DMcV/100_4103.jpg STILL NASTY http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h286/DMcV/100_4105.jpg http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h286/DMcV/100_4106.jpg

D McV
Ya I was pretty surprised myself when I cheked the upper river first. A week ago today I was catching minnows and took a few casts off the wall @ the mouth of chippawa creek and today it was close to being iced right over from wall to wall. Dan Andrews
I'm wondering if last weeks high winds snapped a section of Ice Boom. There's quite abit of ice flowing down.
D McV
It looked ok this morning on the web cam. Check here when there is daylite the U.S power athouraty has control of both cams so you end up getting different views. However the ice breaker was out above the NF hydro gates so maybe? http://www.iceboom.nypa.gov/include.htm
Tom Chopin
The boom is still there......I think there will still be some bits of ice that get past it .....

D McV
I don't know why they don't fix the Youngstown camera, you used to be able to see out into the lake clearly. The area around the bar must be a raft now.
philly86
does anyone know what the whirlpool or glen are looking like right now? fishable? philly
RoeBaggin
Not too good. The whirlpool is full of ice and there is a lot of buildup along the shore as well. Water is brown as well. Not ideal that's for sure. I was down ther to have a look at 1:00pm today. Pretty good wind blowing as well. Roebaggin
