Here are a couple of pics I took today incase

some of you were wondering how the river looked.

In the last pic you can see the ice starting to creep

up toward the falls to form the ice bridge.

Ya I was pretty surprised myself when I cheked the upper river first.

A week ago today I was catching minnows and took a few casts off the

wall @ the mouth of chippawa creek and today it was close to being iced

right over from wall to wall.

Not too good. The whirlpool is full of ice and there is a lot of buildup along the shore as well. Water is brown as well. Not ideal that's for sure. I was down ther to have a look at 1:00pm today. Pretty good wind blowing as well.
