Sirfishalot Posted February 2, 2005 Report Share Posted February 2, 2005 Did Dunnville early this morn .A couple of hits on conventional hook/sinker probably smelt as it was very light. Nothing else at the dam so went to mannes also nothing there . Prolly should have started there as there was lots of slush under the ice at the dam. Decided to try Welland waterway. Bad choice ,the seaway aythority decided to open the locks in Port Colborne overnight and didn't tell anyone ***STAY OFF THE ICE AS THE LEVELS HAVE GONE BACK UP 4 TO 5 FEET*** . There is 10ft of open water all around the canal and Dain city. It looks like a few guys stepped in early this morn, hope they didn't get to wet. With this warming trend it doesn't look like it will freeze hard enough to traverse by the weekend.Cross your fingers. Gotta go to work now, see you at the swill if you are still there at 10:45pm.
