It`s nice that the Coast Guard is doing a safety check. BUT it can be a real pain in the butt. And can be very time consuming if they tie up to you and check everything. Believe me,I know! It seem like every year I get stopped by somebody. And it makes no differences what side of the river I`am on, US or Can. Why not keep it simple, and just ask to see a life jacket.
