The_Fish_Dawg
ventured to simcoe on tuesday with a few others, in a nutshell a very slow day of fishing, but a geat time had by all tried out of innisfil in the morning & gilford in the afternoon - nothing at all, & very little marked on my Vex. To those going out in the next little whuile, highly reccomend wearing ice cleats/creepers untill some snow falls there.
Guest Jeetmuck
Thanks for the report Fish Dawg. Too bad you didn't make out as well as you planned. From having gone the last few times, I have found first thing in the morning or later afternoon to work out of Gilford. I am heading up on Saturday and try my luck again with Lakers and Whities. Going out from Beaverton with Floyd Hales. Gene
The_Fish_Dawg
Thats too bad Mark....my one trip to Simcoe this year was just as unproductive....missed two whitefish lifts on my tip up and that was it for the day.Surprised you didn't mark swarms of smelt there. 9952[/snapback] one local said he had an aqua-view with him the other day & that there is lots of bait (smelt) this winter, said he saw huge pods of whities following them we sure tried, but oh well, that was my first skunk of 2005.
