GREYHAWK

I might give up boating the river if success continues like this. Decided to fish the docks at Navy Hall and the boat launch at Queenston after breakfast with friends on Tues. Hit Navy hall about 10:30 am and left the launch by 2:00 pm. Using small crayfish rigged with a 1/4 oz slip sinker I managed to take 4 nice smallies and 1 fairly large sheepshead. :) Bite turned on for about 45 mins then ended abruptly.

At the launch between heavy showers managed 2 great smallies bottom drifting 3" POWER Minnows (rnbow/blue/flk) on a 3 way swivel. dropper sinker (1/2 oz slinky) and short leader.

All in all a successful day. Certainly, beat the weekend when I drifted the river in my boat for a much longer period of time. Very windy and difficult to control the drift. Managed only 4 fish all day on Phenix tubes (1/4 oz - salt/pepper) and CC silver jigging spoon. :(

Current weather will surely stifle catches for the next few days.

Tight lines :Gonefishing:
