Guest FisherNick
Got to long point late today (12:00 noon) with a couple buddies who know even less about ice fishing than myself. Spoke to the lady at the bait store (RR) and was told to fish shallow. Decided to go against what she said and went out about a km in 61/2 fow. Fishing was slow to start and picked up. At one point i was catching a fish on one line, baiting it, droping it back and catching a fish on the other. Some very large ones were caught today 3 fish well over 12" and a dozen over 9 with a bunch of borderline keepers 7-8". And what seemed like 100's of dinks that we released. Left the water just after 5. Ice is in great condition with over a foot and a half where we were fishing. Some cracks out there but didnt see major as there were guys everywhere with quads and snow machines. Just thought id let you guys know how it was. Guest chilli
Good to hear Nick, thanks. I'm sure the fish-hawk would have like to of heard that a week ago. I'll be sure to check the waters in Fort Erie to see if the ice is back.
