jwl Posted February 13, 2009 Report Share Posted February 13, 2009 Just for the heck of it, anyone have any pics to share of how their cold water fishing season is going so far for 2008-2009. Alot of people dread the cold water season, while others can't wait for some of the great fishing that late fall and winter have to offer. This winter has proven to give us all some pretty tough conditions for sure, we had high winds and muddied up waters,tonnes of snow,a few big melts,extreme cold wind chills, and in general fishing has been tough in alot of aspects of fishing this season. Many of us have toughed it out on some of the crappiest days and got our butts kicked, then stuck it out and have been rewarded for our efforts along the way. Here are a couple of my better ones from the last couple months since winter fishing has started. November..... December.... January.... February.... This one was an incidental OOSer..... Even though I haven't been able to get out as much as I would like too and even got skunked 4 times now since November , it has paid off for me to get out there and give it a good go while trying to throw a few patterns together to help with the success rate of the day. All fish were caught float fishing with sweetcorn besides the night carp caught on bolt/ hairrig combo and tutti frutti flavoured corn.They were all returned back to the water to grow to 30lb'rs The winter temps don't really bother me but the lack of warmer water to chase carp does. Only a few browns and my buddy caught a salmon in late september early october. Great pis everyone. glade to see some people are into fish.
