jedi jeffi
What it takes to be a citizen of Canada So this is what they are preaching to those that are going through for Canadian Citizenship. The Guide is called A Look At Canada. The chapter is Protecting The Environment-Sustainable Development. http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/resources/pub.../look/index.asp This will take you to the Chapter. http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/resources/pub...ook/look-05.asp And here’s just a couple of quotes that well, I’ll bet you will feel the same way. ”A healthy environment is important to quality of life. All citizens should act in a responsible manner toward the environment so that our children have the opportunity to live in a country that is clean and prosperous. • Get involved with a local group to protect our natural and cultural heritage. And my favorite…. “Good environmental citizenship means making sure that groups and individuals have the information they need and understand how to use it to take responsible environmental action. We are accountable for our environment. We must protect it. This way, we take responsibility for the quality of our lives and the lives of future generations.” Remember use this information responsibly. Fire when ready. jedi jeffi
When you want to become a Canadian citizen the Government wants you to join in and protect the enviroment and our Canadian heritage, This page is part of the reading/course they have to take. So you then take a look at what they are trying to slide through on the Budget... The NWPA, the historic right to access for hunting/fishing The Fisheries Act and Enviromental assessments act. It seems to be a do what we say... not as we do. When I found out about this from a 2 year new citizen last week, I found it quite "ironic" that the Hunt/fish/paddle/eco groups are all fighting the same people over the NWPA, who say a good citizen is someone who does just that. And I thought it would be good ammo in the NWPA fight. Jeff What it takes to be a citizen of CanadaSo this is what they are preaching to those that are going through for Canadian Citizenship.
