Tom Chopin
Hit Gravelly Bay this morning for the first boat trip of the year. Yipeeeee. It was a weeeeeeee bit chilly and a strong north wind. A little skim ice first thing in the morning in sections. Water temp was a balmy 36 degrees and warmed up to 38 degrees a few hours later. Guides kept freezing up on the baitcaster but still managed to get 2 pike on the Live Target Smelt jerkbait. Only two other boats out there fishing for perch, they were moving around a lot so figured the perch weren't on fire either. Still great to be out in the sunshine with a line in the water. dennyb123
I'm glad to hear Gravelly Bay is now accessable by boat. My boat's all ready to go and I'm hoping to get some piking in later on this afternoon.
Tom Chopin
Hey RJR, were you the boat loading in front of me?? I used to always ask guys at the ramp if they were from NFN and they'd look at me like I had 2 heads so I usually don't ask......lol....... Joe, I think you have the BASSBUG.....good to see!
