Thanks Gents!! i decided to stay home and get more stuff done, that east wind probably made launching at crystal a real chore. Was thinking of heading to the upper on US side but i must be turning into a woos ;) Hopefully next weekend....i have to get out for perch once :blush:

Best to wait for a S-SE wind when fishin the North shore of the Eastern or Central basin. N winds are the best for boating but not good for fishing..

Constant SW or W winds tend to make it very choppy at our end. I hear Nanicoke near the warm water is producing perch. Stay shallow and near creeks and warmer water outlets as the lake is still cold... The shallow inlets should be hitting this weekend as the air temp rises..

Personally I'm heading to Rice Lake Saturday for some tasty slabs..I hope they will be feeding hard.
