Nik
Tried my luck in the inner bay yesterday (Old Cut area). The fishing was okay. We had to work hard to get 20 worth keeping, as 29 out of 30 or more we dinks. In the end we brought home 29 9" and larger also one pike about 3 pounds. Caught about 10 bullheads also but let them go. Sorry no pictures, but really other than one 12 incher they werent worth any pics.
Hacknslash
Nik we have been doing extremely well for perch on Erie lately (not at Long Point). I've been eating at least a pound of fillet a day, and find the 9-11 inch perch much tastier! Honestly its nice getting some 13"+ but no worries if they are all 9-11...I'd actually prefer that! Nik
agreed 100% Thats pretty much how all fish are - the mid size ones taste the best, and the big ones are fun to catch... It was more a matter of getting 30 dink perch for every decent one. The shinners were even pretty big relatively speaking and the tiny ones were still all over them.
