Guest ChromeCrusher
Has anyone had a good look at the ice conditions at the pool? The last few times I've been down, the ice was terrrible for the float fishing, or any fishing at all. Im sick of the Glen, so just looking to see if the pool is fishable? Thanks
scottydog
Don't give up on the glen my friend. We are going into a cold snap. There will be less ice floating in water if it stays cold. Some nice trout to be caught here. Good fishing. Scottydog
Guest ChromeCrusher
I have by all means, not given up. The Glen is a great place to catch numerous species year round. Its just a more intense walk/hike, especially in the snow/ice than the whirlpool. The shoreline is much easier to navigate, and there are some slower drifts at the pool. The only problem is the pool holds the ice in for a long time swirling around and around.
