Hacknslash
Walked int Ellisam Lake tody for splake...was about a 25 min hike through the woods. Got to the lake and set up my first dead line. Went 20 feet to the shore to relieve myself and I hear a smack. My stick had hit the ice and my 6lb line was snapped!! What a way to start the day! About an hour later I was jigging my Williams wabler (50), with the 3 prong tipped with a minnow and suspended 3"below the spoon, when his baby hit!! Snapped a fast pic with the cellphone an took a measurement...15 1/4 inches. Now there are supposed to some brookies in this water, so I was unsure if it was a legal catch. The splake up here look just like brookies, but with the slightly forked tail. Just to be safe he swam to fight another day!!
