Technosis
With Spring officially here, I was wondering about local hotspots for Crappie fishing? I know that some of the creeks entering Lake Erie and Gravelly bay in particular are good, but can anyone share their experience? Obviously we are still early for this action, but I'm imagining mid-April as a peak time. Any suggestions for time or place........I know that the action tends to be "on" and "off" at a moments notice. Thanks, Chris.
Guest IBC
i have heard parts of martindale can be good ... however you prolly wouldnt want to eat a fish you could use as a thermometer.
spanky
i used to fish Jordan harbour for them, but too many americans would stay in their vans down there and always be the first to the good spots, so i stopped going there.... i, like you, am in search of a new crappie spot... oh, and i would eat them without hesitation out of Jordan aswell
scottydog
I'm with you Tommy. When the water warms to around 5o degrees. Then it is time to look for Crappie. The Canal in Welland is my favourite.Good fishing. Scottydog
