Guys, Gals and Kids

Sunday July 11 The Niagara Bassmasters presents the first of 4 Guys and Gals / Kids events of 2010.

This is an open event that welcomes anglers of any level to compete is a bass tournament type atmosphere. This gives anglers the opportunity to fish with their better half or with a youngster 15 years of age or younger. We all know that this is a great sport and we need to get as many youngsters involved as possible.

Here is a brief overview of the event:

Entry Fee: $60

Date: Sunday July 11

Location: Boat launch ramp on Main Street in Chippawa

Time: Event runs from 7:00am to 12 noon

5 Bass limit, live release

All teams need to have an operating livewell.

Teams consist of 2 persons, Guy & Gal or Adult and Child 15yrs and younger

Parental consent is required for children entering the event

Tournament boundaries are the Upper Niagara River and Chippawa

Anything past the train bridge in Fort Erie is off limits, including Lake Erie

Come out have some fun and let your wife or child show you how to catch the big one.

This is a super event!Tonns of fun and it allows your wife to apprieciate how much you love the sport and why, as well as maybe even getting a youngster involved in the sport of fishing!

Am I correct in assuming you don't need a fishing licence to fish this event if you are a Canadian resident?

Perhaps this is a good opportunity to get a non-fishing parent hooked as well.

Unfortunately parents need a fishing licence, the kids don't.

I guess for this particular event one is not needed but the rest to follow will.

Congrats Bondar on a great 2nd place finish, today was a great day to be out and the, fish were alittle lock jawed, but i think everone had a great time, was really great to see two non club members take 1st and 2nd place, again congrats to all and hope to see you all again.

Sorry for the late post, had something to do right after the tournament.

First off I would like to thank everyone for coming out today it was a great day to be fishing, too bad the fish werent more eager to bite.
