overthelimit
Hey Guys, Did some jigging for bass Monday with a blade bait for the first time. Caught a bunch, just curious what some of you guys use for the bite on Erie in the fall. Do you prefer blade baits or jigging spoons and what kinds. Usually chasing perch this time of year but the freezer is bursting at the seems and I have to save some room for venison. Thanks
denis
Blades really shine in colder water, more vibration. That's my favorite way to catch Giant smallies
pauly
I love jigging big spoons in the late fall. I often use big saltwater spoons like castmasters in 1 to even 3 ounces. I often let it slam into bottom before ripping it. More lost spoons, but sometimes a great technique especially in stained water. Some of my biggest summer fish come from jigging very deep water where walleyes often hang out. I seldom see people doing this in the summer. Good luck to you! Pete Elphinstone
Very hard to beat a gold 3/4 oz castmaster jigging spoon on Erie in the fall.
