ontariocarper Posted October 31, 2010 Report Share Posted October 31, 2010 I normally use Scum Frog Trophy's and Spro Bronze eyes. The other day I was looking at the Tru-Tungsten Mad Maxx. Has anyone ever used them? How do they compare to Scum and Spro frogs? Do they have a soft body like Scums? Just want to know before I spend that much. pauly Posted November 1, 2010 Report Share Posted November 1, 2010 I'd worry more about quality than pattern and realism regarding such a topwater. Two hooks will improve hook ups. Tralers are possible on such models and will go through slop surprisingly well because of the upturned hook. Depends on the environment. I always try to imagine what a bass will see from below when looking up.
