drsmooth
Hey dobee.Poor vis,I was down today below the dams vis is 10" if your lucky! No fish caught by anyone. Dave It only works during daylight. If you want to know the clarity of the lower river check out these links before you go. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather_cams/cmon0101 http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather_cams/cmon0066 One, or the other should give you an idea as to the clarity. If you see green you are good, if you see anything else. It may be a gamble. A good rule of thumb..... If there have been high winds along the Eastern end of Lake Erie within the last 2 days. The water in the lower river is likely brown (unless the high wind event was short). From the time high wind on Lake Erie (Eastern End) starts. You still have a good 16-20 hours of good clarity before murky water hits. This depends on the direction of the wind. If Buffalo TV stations are showing footage of waves pounding on the waterfront expect brown water sooner rather than later.
