The MNR is doing a study in order to establish a database of urban fishing opportunities in the Niagara area. Niagara is considered to be one of Canada's premier urban fishing locations.

This database will be used by the MNR in order to establish a site listing all the urban fishing opportunites in the MNR's Guelph district (Everything south of Guelph, west of Toronto and east of London).

The more we show the MNR what Niagara has the more attention we will likely get when it comes to allocation of resources.

I should have a template in the next few days for everyone to download and fill out.

We aren't asking for your favourite secret spot, just good places for families and kids to go fishing and have fun.

Bigfish. Are you employed by the MNR or have any official title with them. or are you just like the Wendy's spokesperson? Not to be smart or anything but If you are an officer or employee, this would be nice to know as to bypass any Inquiries I might have for them through their Government contacts. Like all Government offices, their answers or reply don't come very quickly.

If the MNR was concerned about the niagara area they would have a boat from the Lake Ontario Management Division stationed in the area.We as a border water have enough water for the boat too work. They can patrol the upper and lower river and let them patrol 5 kms of both lakes. How crowded out do we have become? The MNR is loosing out of tens of thousands of dollars in non resident fishing licences.

Yeah, we really need to have some work done in Niagara region. Look at 12mile creek for instance. Awesome piece of water, absolutely nothing done to develop it. Just some resident smallies and carp. And Gibson Lake - walleye in the south end would rock. The Welland River...etc etc. There is lots of water around here that has been neglected, and if we can do something to help fix that I'm all ears.
