Fisher1
Next weekend should be ok If it stays warm. The warm rain should bring the temps in the river up.
Guest Pike212
The warm rain is more than welcome, need the water temp up another 5 degrees, this rain will be a huge help. Gonna smash the cats tonight! I've got an 11 and 8 so far and they were too cold to put up much of a fight yet.
Jiggs Flannigan
I watched some guys pull some 3-5 lb channels out of the Welland River down by the airport Sunday. I caught some nice crappies on tubes a foot from shore down by O'Reilly's Bridge FYI, not at the bridge, but along the road leading to it.
coreyhkh
Hey guys just wondering if I should bother making the drive up to the grand to try for cats.
Guest Pike212
I've been out every day this week and not a nibble since Saturday, even todays beautiful sunny warm weather didn't turn the bite on up til 2 pm. I don't know what's goin on, cats turning the same route the eyes did in the grand?? Very frustrating!

Funtick
Still early. Need one more week of rainy/warm weather. Good time for steelies though (who love the cold water) How to catch steelhead from shore? Roe & float? Is it possible in (4th Saturday) April? P.S. Last Saturday I catched there two small cats (but bigger than typical bullhead), big drum, and not-so-big sucker; afternoon; from shore, worms; it was rainy day... no cats yet but I might missed one
mikkel
I've caught quite a few this year already. Most of them in the Welland river. Most of them 3-5 lbs, still a fun size!
