Gnfshn
Got out for two hours this afternoon and did well. 3 sheepshead, 1 white bass and a big carp all on an olive leach pattern. Fished behind Discovery Centre with floating line and an 18 ft leader of 8 lb flourocarbon. They seemed to like more aggressive strips. The carp was well over 30". Good fun. ron4blues
Nice going. That's a lot of leader! Do you build your own? I'd imagine it would be a job getting one that long to turn over. Even on my spey rod I try to keep it in the 9 - 12 foot range.
Gnfshn
For the harbour I use straight flourocarbon - usually 8 lb test. Most of the flies I use are weighted. The water depth is 25 feet plus. This area is not for sight fishing so casting accuracy is not important.
