Dogman
So ever since I got back from my trip down south I've wanted a kayak. I've been searching and pricing them out and I'm a little shocked at how expensive they are. So I've finally come across a decent deal Heritage Kayaks RedFish 12 Angler Fishing Kayak reg $928.95 on sale for $743.16. It seems like a good boat but I think it may be a little too narrow for me. I'm a pretty big guy and the specs on the cockpit show only 18.5" wide. Both the Native manta and Wilderness Systems Tarpon are 20" but they are also roughly $200 more. I have to order it online since there isn't a dealer near by. Does anyone have any experience with any of these, or suggestions? I'm about 6'3" and 250lbs I'm not overly heavy set just bigish (beer belly and biceps ).
Tom Chopin
I picked up a Malibu sit on Kayak Mini X. My wife wanted a shorter kayak and I happened to find one that had rod holders.....They are very wide and stable.
