steelshady
With all the salmon talk I couldn’t resist and went to the Glen for a few hours. Surprisingly water temperature was 74 degrees! Woot woot! Fished my favorite hole and only caught a few bass. Never seen any salmon jump, only bass and suckers. I brought my new 15’ Frontier that I recently purchased for $160 on kijji, man what a difference a rod can make! Wow! My islander float reel functions much better with this new stick. I can’t wait until the fish show up in the river.
Frank81
At least you caught a few bass, I went fishing in three different spots along the lower Niagara this evening and all we were able to muster up was 1 rock bass, 1 sun fish and about 7 gobies, we used everything from spoons, spinners, tube jigs, wacky worms and live worms. Live worms prevailed as the only bait to catch 2 fish, even though it wasn't the fish were were targeting, we avoided the skunk.
