stkittsjigger
Well after having a Pelican Pursuit fishing kayak for weeks i was finally able to break a bottle of wine across the bow and launch her in Jordan yesterday. (i work 6 days a week with 2 kids and a 3rd on the way so its hard to get out). It paddled straiter than i thought it would for not having a rudder, but the wind can sure turn you when you stop paddling. I took forum advice and didn't bring any of my fishing gear with me on my first outing. (good advice) it is verrrry tricky getting in and especially out of a yak, and that was with the aid of having a dock at boat level. I dont know how you guys get in and out when launching from rocky shores. I guess it's like riding a bike. Fall a few times... Anyways im excited to hook into a fish from a yak out from the boundaries of shore. Cheers
Dan Andrews
The wind actually has more effect on the yak then the current does. After sliding in a few times and not tipping you get the confidence to launch anywhere fully loaded.
