timmer1985
Just wondering what fly patterns people are using for carp. Have not fished for carp before and looking to start. Thanks for any help.
hammercarp
I am not a fly fisherman but I have heard of these. Wooly bugger, leech, San Juan Worm, and crayfish immitations.
Paulie Tigernuts
USCARPPRO Magazine has a huge fly fishing section in every issue. Just google it. Free subscription too.

Thanks for any help. Wooly Buggers are by far the best pattern I have found for carp.
D McV
For active fish I use cone head zonker style flies = crazy hits! Slow presentation and picky fish (without giving it all away) I use smaller/lighter flies. It's really fun when fish are deeper and you blind cast zonkers and strip them as you would for bass.just hold on tight because they'll just about rip the rod out of your hands! Almost happened to me last week while not expecting much action lol.
