CLofchik
All along the N.Shore right now there are a pile of cookie cutter 20"-30" Coho's piled up in 120-150FOW, from the Lift Bridge down to Port Credit and the weather has been perfect the last week to go chasing them with a yak. Paddle out 1 1/2-2 miles offshore at first light and follow the shoreline until you start connecting. Blue 3"-4" spoons & plugs, down 30'-50'. Partner for the last coupla days in his pimped out Jackson Coosa 25" Atlantic, my first out in the lake.

Icehut
Egads. I'm not sure whether paddling a yak TWO MILES out on a great lake is genius, or madness. Either way, I'm jealous as hell. Don't think I'd have the balls, but good on ya.
Dogman
Meh two miles isn't that far, as long as the weather is nice. I've been 6 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico now that is fun.
CLofchik
Yak? What about a canoe, a skinny, tippy, lean spec racer solo canoe. That was built in 1988? Once I paddled from Bronte to Fifty Point when I bored one summer. Once.
Dogman
Nope wouldn't dream of it in a canoe. I like my 14.5ft sit on top
