CamG14
Hi, If you pull up to a fishing spot and while standing looking out you see so many minnows that it looks like you could stand on the water, I mean so many minnows that they are actually jumping out of the water over twigs and leaves showing off. How would you fish this spot ? For Pan fish ? Would you use a minnow ? If there are that many minnows are the fish even hungry ? If there were any large fish in there wouldn’t the minnows be swimming away ? Thanks, Cam

Icehut
Pull as close an imitation as you have in your box, ideally a small silvery floating crankbait, around the edges of the school. Retrieve it so it seems crippled, stop and go, some floating. Might have some very interesting results.
cdnvizsla
Use minnows. Cast off to the edges of the school. Fish school to create a bigger outline and thereby make it tougher for the predators to pick an individual fish to eat. By casting off the sides of the schools you isolate your bait and thats what the predators are looking for isolated targets.
ogliq2
Also if you can, use the smallest minnows you can find, because they won't be interested in a full meal, just a snack here and there....
