Match Angling Club of Ontario is organizing all species shore tournament in Hamilton, Bayfront Park.

As usual MACO tournament are for “all species” but anglers will target carp at this tournament, because this venue is known for big carp. Two years ago the “big fish” was over 26lb.

Sunday June 10, 2012

Time table:

6:00am-6:45am registration

6:45am morning briefing and peg draw

7:00am-8:00am preparation time, anglers sets up the gear at their pegs, chumming is allowed.

8:00am-1:00pm fishing

1:00pm all out, weighing fish, you have to have keepnet to keep your catch, this is catch and release tournament. There is very limited qty of keepnet to rent from MACO, you have to reserve keepnet when registering.

Award Ceremony, with trophy, medals, cash prizes, BBQ and lots of fun.

It is an interesting event, you will meet other fishing enthusiasts, you will see how other will fishing. Different styles, different tactics.

Tournament fee $25.00

Optional “Big Fish” $5.00, “Winner Takes All” $10.00, these pools are 100% payout.

This tournament is first qualifier for Canadian Carp Grand Prix tournament. We will have separate carp weighing for that reason. Point system will determine 2012 CC Grand Prix Winner. Second qualifier is on July 8, third one in September 23. Both in Hamilton. The idea behind CCGP is to crown best carp angler in the season.

You do not need to pay extra money to be in the CC Grand Prix classification.
