RGTP67
I always go to the welland canal near towline road and manage to catch 1 or 2 bass each time but can never seem to catch 5 or more like some people I know. Anyone know how to catch a lot in 1 day? Or even in the welland river by merit island at the aqueduct
spiro
I went out on monday with the girlfriend and had the same trouble, mind you she was more interested in paddleing her kayak than fishing and i had to play a lot of catchup! jitterbugs work well in the morning and plastics seem better during the daytime. there are a lot of baitfish in the canal so you do have lots of competition. As for colours, i have not found the magic one yet! All seem to work
kazman
Yeah, both the canal and the river seem to change alot over the day. Colours change as quick as the clocks. One thing I have found to be a given most days is a white mr twister tail with a plain lead head. Yellow seems to work well also, but be ready for some pike to of course. emenius
i am a big fan of greens in the canal, bass don't seem to mind either.
Piker
When all else fails I do the same as kazman. White twister tail on q jig. Make sure you let it sink right to bottom and work it very slowly back to you.
