Trouble Uploading Photos

O.K........I have been trying for some time now to upload photos on this site with no luck.

First off, I would have thought that just cutting and pasting them would work but I seem to have no luck that way.

I have tried adding a URL to photos from my Flikr account......but still no dice.

Sometimes when trying these methods I will get a tiny little button that pops up in the corner. Is this because NFN wants to review any uploaded photos before going public?

Also, I constantly have a conflict for this site somewhere in my security settings that won't allow me to run some add-ons. Could this conflict be the problem?. I sure as hell can't find it.

I'm not terribly tech savvy, so some kind of short tutorial or even just some input would be very much appreciated.

My stories are really not worth posting anymore without some photo evidence.

I would use photobucket as soon as you upload the photos to that account you just click on the img url and paste that in the chat box

I had problems with photobucket at first as well. If you look at the icon bar here above chat there is a little icon that says image url. Select that and take your url from photobucket and take off the tags at the beginning and end of the URL thats the problem with photobucket. Once you do that you will instantly see the photo appear in

this chat box, if not you still dont have it right.

Photobucket has the photo listed like this (img) http/:/photobucket/imgageexample.jpg (img) take off that ( IMG) at the front and back of the URL so you only see the http starting first and ending in the .jpg and you will see the photo right away. Use the little icon here that says image to post and then a box will appear for you to enter that URL

just make sure you take of the (img) tag at the front and back.

What would be really good is if someone more tech saavy then us could put up a short video tutorial of how to do that and Cliff could pin that for anyone for future use.

Maybe Cliff you could get Joel to put something like that together?? Just a thought Good luck Seanook....you can do it. FOCUS.....LOL

Done and done!......My July fishing story entry wouldn't have been the same without it. I had been trying to post this one for over two months with no luck. I have a tonne of photos to go with other various entries I just couldn't post but now can.
