20 Mile Creek- Smithville

I am curious if enough fish come with the rise in water to make it worth while to fish the creek through Smithville.

Two weeks ago there was no water, now the water is rushing through. I have seen vehicles parked near the creek but have not actually seen anyone fishing.

Are there fish? If so, what would there be?

There are fish in the "deeper" sections of the river. Carp, cats, pike, chain pickeral, bass etc. dont know if the rising water would bring fish to the low water areas, but I dont see why not. Follow the river west towards Hamilton out of Smithville, and there are some spots that hold fish year round...

Spring or fall is a better bet, I've heard of nice pike caught in there, never tried myself though...chain pickeral, really? I'd need to see photo evidence I think...

Yep, chain pickeral. Only one Ive personally caught. Sorry, no pic.

I dont recall posting a photo and asking everyones opinion on what kind of fish you think it it is... But thanks for your 2 cents input

Those darn sneaky cats crapping in cornflakes. Somebody should report this to the humane society.
