Lively1
Saw some pics of a gal catching bass and carp on something she called a 'soft hackle glo bug'.. looks like a regular glo bug like you would use for salmon or steelhead, with a few turns of large hackle wound on the hook just behind the eye. Anyone ever hear of this or use one? I suppose the soft-hackle keeps the fly suspended a bit longer and gives a bit more motion to it?
Dogman
Sounds almost like a veiled egg pattern.
fish4life82
It does sound like a veiled egg. Hackle in front or behind and in front winding the opposite so that the hackle falls over the egg is to imitate skin attached to the egg. If you look up the babin special this is similar to what you described except its a double egg imitation. I can put a picture up here of one if you would like.
