Guest Steelheader
You're talking about the back-drift at the Queenston boat launch, right? The huge eddy? I've fished there before, but no luck. Can you actually fish it effectively for salmon and trout from shore?
Guest Gill Finigan
The queenston launch drift can be a productive steelhead spot from shore all winter long. Personally never tried for salmon, but when the steelhead are in it can be hot at times. Plus it's a short hop back in the car for a coffee and warm up for round two in jan and feb.
