toaster
I might be getting back into salmon fishing after not being out on the lake in 20 years. back then it was all mono. was wondering what test braid is good to use out there, and do you use flouro leaders or run spoons right off the braid? jesse
We use 50# powerpro with 30# leader for dipsey's/flasher & fly.20-30LB mono for downriggers/spoon's without a leader. The water fleas get pretty bad when the lake warms up & they clog up the braid pretty bad as well as thiner mono. You should consider a wire setup as the fleas don't cling to it as much & you can clean the line easy while reeling in.A wire/dipsey setup it alot of fun!!
