charlieD
Went and tried out chippawa creek conservation....was pretty windy out in a canoe...only managed to get 3 small bass. Then headed to Dain City and played around with the sunfish. Would have liked it to be a little more productive but what are you to do. Anybody ever fish chippawa creek conservation, heard there was some big Largemouth in there.
Guest old guy
There are some lunkers in Dils lake. My biggest large mouth came out of there last summer. Didn't weigh it but conservatively around 5 pounds. I've fished at the Chippawa Cons area for about 25 years. Used to camp there with my kids before it got electricity and running water etc. Lots of weeds make the fishing tough..but pick your spots and you can have some success. There are also very large crappies in the lake. No need to go to Dain city for sunfish as that is the predominant species in Dils lake . Most success using rubber worms and buzz baits. Just cruise the shore line looking for pockets to toss the lure. Nothing like having a large mouth explode out of the weeds and inhale your bait. Always practice catch and release .
