floatman Posted December 28, 2013 Report Share Posted December 28, 2013 From my experience servicing many CP reels over the last 10 years, I recommend avoiding any lubricants with PTFE/Teflon. They tend to attract dust dirt, and become gummy over time. Hot Sauce is one of the worst IMO. Singer Sewing Machine oil, Remington gun oil, 3 in 1 oil, or any light petroleum based lubricant is fine. Also keep in mind ONE drop is good on each bearing. Two is not better.
