spiro
Have a 1991 merc 8.0 hp and i took the carb off. The little bearing that is in the carb bounced down the driveway and into the grass. Is there anyone out there who knows what size it is and where I can get one without buying a $90 carb kit?\ Mike
captnn
If you think the part is steel. Run a magnet where you think it is and you might pick it up. Good luck. It has worked for me. Good luck

staffman
I would try to get a diagram off the net. Here is a starting point: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=8hp+mercury+outboard+2+stroke+carburetor .Google is your friend, perhaps if you type in " how large is the bearing in a 1991 8 hp mercury carburetor", you may be led to the right spot. staffman
I tried it and came up with this site www.EngineeredMarineProducts.com if you download the PDF and scroll down to page 179 and the next few pages shows bearings for Mercury motors.
